Join us for a quick plunge to harness the comfort of the familiar. This series is for those that struggle with traditional approaches to creative writing.  It is for those that prefer to let their stories "tell themselves."  It is for those who want to explore new forms and structures.  It is for the artist. The joyful inner child. The writer who writes from the heart.

This workshop is for you who ask…
…how do I choose the right genre for my story? Or vice-versa?
…how do I create original work within a genre ?
…how do I use genres to my advantage?

This class is for you who want…
…to be a part of the greater conversation.
…to meet with the audience in a place they call home.
…to blend, bend, smash, deconstruct, and reconstruct the audience’s expectations.

Be empowered to approach the blank page with confidence— and wild anticipation!

Writing without an Outline is part of a year-long journey through the heart of story.  The full experience will leave you forever changed in how you see, approach, and allow your narrative to open in front of you.

Each section of the series stands alone and can be taken individually, or you may opt to bundle classes and/or weekend intensives.

Let 2025 be the year you set your wild muse free!

Neurodivergent minds are highly encouraged.

“I learned so much in Lyon’s writing classes. Lyon is both passionate and knowledgeable about the art of story. He speaks with confidence about both the art and the craft of writing and always keeps the learning process fun. I now have much deeper awareness of how to write a memorable story that connects with people.“ -Devin S.
